Birds of prey nest in the mountainous regions of Lebanon, while the nature reserve close to Ehden is home to golden eagles, imperial eagles, buzzards, red kites, Bonelli eagles, Sardinian warblers and Scop owls. You can also watch resident or migrant seabirds in the Palm Islands Park off the coast of Tripoli or the Mediterranean green turtles and monk seals which live in the waters surrounding the park. As for mammals, you will be able to catch sight of a few hedgehogs.
