The subequatorial climate is hot and wet, with temperatures varying from 21 to 33°C. The rainy season falls between April and October. Rains are heavier close to the shores. In Monrovia, average temperatures are 30°C in January, 31°C in April, 28°C in July and 29°C in October. The best season is the dry season, between November and April.
