Lithuania has a continental and maritime climate. Summers are hot, spring and autumn are mild and winters can be very cold with frequent snow falls, (temperatures rarely get beyond 4°C and they can fall to -29°C in January-February). The best time to visit Lithuania is thus from May to September, when temperatures are more pleasant (20 to 25°C in the day and 3 to 15°C at night). Make sure that you have warm clothing, even in the summer, for the cold nights.
