Nine casinos in all run uninterruptedly in Macau 24/24. The most known are the Lisboa, the hotel-casino and the floating Casino. The Lisboa, a complex of over six thousand rooms, in 1960 Kitsch architecture, receives thousands of gamblers each weekend in a highly charged and almost pathetic atmosphere. Casinos are the best places to see colourful crowds rushing to quench their passion. Games proposed are black jack, baccarat, roulette, boules, keno, craps, slot machines and other more typical Chinese games like fan tan, dai siu (big and small), pai kao and mahjong. Close to the casinos, there are also overcrowded clubs and discos where one-time winners squander money and enjoy themselves.
