The city of Kuala Lumpur houses several buildings and wonderful monuments. The Istana Negara or national palace is one of them. This is the official residence of the king. In 1962, the Istana Negara was transformed into a palace for the Sultans of Selangor. Initially, it belonged to a rich Chinese. Today, lavish receptions and inauguration ceremonies are hosted there. Its walls are adorned with white balconies and its domes trimmed with golden glints.
