In the North Malé Atoll, two islands have kept their natural landscapes. They are Adsu, 20 miles away from Malé, and Helengeli, 28 miles away. Both sites offer lush vegetation that sometimes transforms the beach into a mangrove, but the atmosphere remains unique and the beauty of the lagoon largely offsets the simplicity of the neighbouring houses (bungalows with palm roofs). Choose these two islands for their peace and stillness rather than for the activities (diving and snorkeling).
