 Climate and Seasons

Lying in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, the archipelago of Malta offers a mild and pleasant climate throughout the year. The autumn is lovely, 10 to 20°C on average and places are often hot until November. Sporadic rains may occur in the day. In winter, the sky remains bright and sunny and temperatures range from 7 to 17°C. Strong gusts of wind are common. Spring is the best season to visit the archipelago, as the sun shines endlessly and it is not too hot. Moreover, the island has not yet been overrun by tourists. Average temperatures range from 20 to 25°C. In the summer they often reach 35°C, with the sirocco wind that dry up the atmosphere.
