Rabat, on Malta Island, is an interesting city built on ancient Christian catacombs of the 4th and 5th centuries. The catacombs of Saint Paul and Saint Agatha are open to visitors. You can get there from Agatha Street. They are made up of long underground corridors with dug out niches that house tombs and altars. In Rabat, also pay a visit to the Saint Dominic priory and the Saint Agatha church, then roam in the streets bordering the buildings.
