Unfortunately, Bikini is known for the nuclear tests that took place on the atoll. Since 1996, it has been re-opened to the public, becoming a fabulous place for diving, with spectacular protected fauna due to the lack of fishermen during the nuclear test period. Experienced divers will be able to dive and see a good number of boat wrecks at 100-200 ft deep.
