Kwajalein and Ebeye

Kwajalein and Ebeye

Kwajalein is the world's biggest atoll with 90 tiny islands surrounding a lagoon 75 miles long and 15 miles wide. A big part of the atoll is kept under the control of the US Department of Defence, which still carries out missile fires. The Marshallese people who work here live on the neighbouring atoll, in Ebeye. Needless to say, these two atolls are not tourist destinations, although it is possible to dive around them (get more information at the Visitor's Office in Majuro).
