Caravelle Peninsula, linked to Martinique by a 2,900 feet wide strip of land, forms the southern coastline of La Trinité. This 3 mile long stretch of land conceals peaceful bays under a forest of seagrape bushes, manchineel trees and mangroves, jagged rocks against which many ships have smashed and Tartane beach. It is the perfect beach for people who want to watch waves crash down on to the beach and the rocks.
