On the Caravelle Peninsula are the ruins of a chateau which belonged to the fabulously wealthy Dubuc de Rivery. Other than the sugarcane plantation, they smuggled and sold slaves. Situated in the centre of the natural reserve, the site of the chateau Dubuc can be the opportunity for a very pleasant walk.
