Near Trois Ilets, the museum of La Pagerie recounts the life story of Marie-Josèphe-Rose Tascher de La Pagerie, who would become Empress Josephine. The museum is located where Josephine was born in 1763. Some objects are displayed such as portraits or letters from Napoleon to her. Visit also the large botanical gardens, the ruins of the sugar house, the birthplace, the cane mill and the manioc house, all in all the place where Joséphine led a peaceful childhood, to the rhythm of the plantation.
