The museum is a flashback of the living conditions of the Mauritanians a long time ago. This museum has accumulated all sorts of ancient objects which belonged to the Mauritanian population, such as tools and everyday life objects. The excavations which led to the discovery of these things were carried out mainly in Koumbi Saleh; Aoudaghost and Azougui.
