Tea

In Mauritania, tea, imported from China, is the national drink. It is drunk with froth on the top and in three stages, according to tradition, where each glass is filled to a third of its volume. Originally, tea was drunk by the nomads in the desert where they always carried a bag of tea leaves and sugar with them. When they met, they drank together and as they had time ahead of them, they would have three glasses (since then, mint has been added to make the tea taste milder).Mauritanians drink tea every day and for any occasion.
