The Banc d'Arguin National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This protected area, with limited vehicle access (and no access for motorboats), is home to some amazing wildlife, including numerous bird and fish species: marvel at the waders on St John's Bay. In Iwik, the small community which lives in the park are likely to give you a warm welcome and ask you to stay the night and eat grilled fish. Note that this coastal region is one of the world's richest in wildlife.
