A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Diawling National Park lies in the south of the country. It is part of the Keur-Massene area. This 39,500 acre park is home to numerous animal species, birds are gradually settling there, following the construction of dams and works to allow seasonal flooding. As for wart hogs and goats, they gather along the banks. Bear in mind that the National Park is inhabited by tribes: the Wolofs, Moors and Fulahs.
