Petite Terre - Dzaoudzi

With its 9,000 inhabitants, Dzaoudzi is Mayotte's second largest town. It is located on the islet of Fongouzou, north-west of Petite Terre. A seawall, called Crab Boulevard, links the town to Petite Terre. This is the liveliest place where, day and night, you find many bars and restaurants. You can then go to France square to see the Prefecture administrative building, housed in an old colonial residence built at the end of the 19th century, on blueprints designed by Gustave Eiffel. Walk around the gardens of the residence, then go shopping in Commerce street where you will find pretty fabric and jewel shops.
