In the state of Mexico, two sites are some kind of evidence of the Spanish conquest's deeply rooted Christian influence: such as the Jesuit monastery of Tepotzotlán (end of the 17th century) which houses one of the most beautiful museums of liturgical art of Latin America, and the fortified monastery of Acolman, the first founded in New-Spain by the Augustinian monks in 1539.
