Arkhangai is rich in archaeological remains dating from the Bronze age to the 13th century. So, north-east of the Khongorj mountains, over a hundred Bronze age petroglyphs represent horses and archers. There are also anthropomorphous statues (khün tchuluun) to see, as well as some funerary monuments.
