Between Haouz rocky plain and the desert, the oasis of Marrakech arises, overlooked by the everlasting snow on the peaks of the Atlas. This region is particularly favourable to hiking and more and more travellers are exploring the rugged foothills of Mount Toubkal. Further south, the valleys display picturesque landscapes, ponctuated with red clay kasbahs and palm groves with a Berber air about them.
