Nestled within the hills of the Middle Atlas, Fez lies in the heart of the Plain of Sais. The city rests on terraces built on both steep sides of a wadi in a fertile area. Further west, Meknes shines forth in the midst of hillsides planted with olive trees. Volubilis has Morocco's largest and best preserved roman remains. It is even possible to ski in several winter sports resorts. Hikers will have the time of their life in this authentic region and its forest of oak and cedar.
