Southern Morocco is closed to the west by the Atlantic, north by Atlas and south by sub-saharan regions. Stony mountains, endless desert, sandy valleys and rocky plains: this is the Morroccan deep south. Earth kasbahs and typical North African citadels are the last vestiges of Berber architecture.
