Planted at the foot of dunes or rocky plains, oases shape the Moroccan desert. They give life to date palms, the only Saharan vegetation. The fauna has few species like fennecs and antelopes. But there are many bird species. Protected in the reserves, many ornithologists come to watch them in spring and autumn.
