Morocco was a great source of inspiration for the orientalist painters. In 1832 Eugène Delacroix landed in Tangiers; from his journey, he brought back "The Jewish Wedding" that inspired several French artists to visit Morocco. Meanwhile, Henri Matisse arrived in the country in 1912.
