The Tamegroute Koranic School The school is home to a series of texts dating back to the 12th century © Vivianne Riviere
Along the Drâa wadi is the Tamegroute village which is immensely proud of its Koran school library (home to some 4,000 enlightening texts), some of which are written on gazelle skins. The oldest texts date from the 12th century. The library is open in the morning and in the afternoon and a tip to the guard is much appreciated.
