Leaving from Windhoek, some of the tours head straight West to the dunes of Namib-Naukluft national park which gave Namibia its reputation for tourism. The ones reaching 300 metres are the highest in the world. In Sossusvlei and in the Naukluft mountains, it is possible to go hiking for an hour or for several days, and go on a balloon flight, every morning.
