The country breaks the records of difference in heights: less than 100 miles away from the Ganges, the Himalayan range stands high enough to be the roof of the world, "the abode of snow" in popular mythology. To admire the summits, go to Nagarkot, 15 miles east of Kathmandu. This natural amphitheatre offers an unforgettable view of the Himalayan range.
