Nelson Lakes national park displays very beautiful scenery, made of lakes and rivers. The Buller river gorges are impressive : walk along them starting from Lake Rotoiti. Viewpoints have been set all along the road, and several paths will allow you to effortlessly explore caves and waterfalls. As for Lake Rotoiti, it gives you a chance for a boat ride or a swim. Fishing enthusiasts however will go to Lake Rotoroa: trouts abound there.
