According to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), local transport laws have changed in Italy. From 16th January, people wishing to drive in Milan city centre (Zone C) will have to pay a congestion charge of 5 Euros per day (Monday - Friday only).
The ticket will be valid from 7:30am to 7:30pm and covers all accesses made on the same day.
Payment methods are varied and include:
- Voucher: available at tobacconist, newsagents, cash machines (Milan transport company)
- Banca Intesa Sanpaolo cash machines
- Pay and display machines
- Direct debit
