Liverpool to celebrate 50 years of The Beatles

It is half a century since Liverpool's favourite sons released their hit Love me do, the record which saw the rise and rise of the world's most famous boy band. To celebrate this landmark occasion, Cavern City Tours is organising the International Beatle Week Festival from 22nd to 28th August in the city which has become synonymous with the group. The event will attract bands from over 20 countries and fans from over 40. As well as live concerts, which will take place in, amongst others, the Cavern Club, the Adelphi Hotel and Philharmonic Hall, there will be exhibitions, sightseeing tours, guest speakers and memorabilia sales.
