Luxury in the Outback?

Luxury in the Outback? 05/03/2010

A luxury ranch is due to open in the Flinders Ranges, in the heart of the South Australian outback.

The Arkapena Homestead will open its doors in April 2010, and claims to be a traditional Australian outback residence albeit with a few luxurious touches.

Featuring the wide verandas and corrugated iron roof that outback accommodation is famous for, the 2 bedroom house will also possess a private outdoor shower and alfresco entertaining area with BBQ.

The homestead belongs to the 9,000 hectare sheep station of Arkapena.

An extension of Rawnsley Park Station, the actual house dates back to the 1950s.
