From a list of hundreds of sites around the world, vote7.com has narrowed down to 28 those which will become the new 7 wonders of the natural world. Earlier this month the public voted on 440 locations in 220 countries to create a list of 77 sites which has now been but down to just under 30 by the New7Wonders Panel of Experts.
The final list includes some globally known sites such as the Amazon, the Dead Sea and Ayres Rock, but also some you may not have heard of including the Puerto Princesa Underground River in the Philippines, El Yunque in Puerto Rico and the Bu Tinah Shoals in the UAE.
Voting in the final stage of the campaign, which started in 2007, is now open and the results will be announced in 2011 at the Official Declaration of the New7Wonders of Nature after an estimated one billion votes would have been taken into account.
