Norway's ski season begins!

Norway's ski season begins! 01/10/2009

Six ski stations in Norway have reported snow ahead of the country's six-month ski season. Even at low altitudes, you can enjoy both quality and quantity when it comes to the white stuff! The backdrop the Norway's slopes are the famous fjords and mountains, the latter giving the resort of Hemsedal the nickname 'the Scandinavian Alps.' The resort is not only beautiful but has some of the most challenging skiing in Northern Europe. If its tradition you're after then Geilo may just be the resort for you. Getting to Norway is easy; just two hour's flight from London and there are many offers available through tour operators and travel agents.

If you would like to find out more about skiing in Norway, Visit Norway will have a stand at the Metro Ski and Snowboard Show at London Olympia on 21st-25th October.
