PHotoEspaña is an international Festival of Photography and Visual Arts held in Madrid. This year works by more than 250 artists from 44 countries will be on view in galleries, installations, major museums and art centres until 22 July. Among those whose art will be exhibited are Andy Warhol, Richard Avedon, Santiago Sierra and Alberto García-Alix.
Claude Bussac, the festival director, said: "PHotoEspaña has grown to become an essential meeting for everybody who loves photography and the visual arts. It gathers work of international artists and hosts great masters and historical proposals along with emerging artists."
The shows are also complemented by educational and professional programs and family workshops.
