To coincide with the start of the Olympic Games in London, Sir Richard Branson has launched a brand new application for iPhone featuring his top tips for what to do in the capital. Called 'Virgin Atlantic's London City Guide' it includes itineraries from the crew of Branson's airline as well as from famous Londoners. It reveals the group's favourite places to eat, drink and sleep and spills the beans on some of London's best kept secrets. There are also little-known fact lists, fashion tips and information on the best places to visit outside London. Users will also be able to point their phones at various sites and receive more details about it thanks to the augmented reality feature.

Joy Doyle of Virgin Atlantic, commented: "We wanted to share Virgin Atlantic's favourite places in a free download so everybody makes the most of their visit to London. But rather than just offer a traditional guidebook's top picks, we've curated our own, so if you want to visit London in Virgin style, this is the app for you. It's not meant to be a definitive list, but it features pages and pages of amazing things to do. The app allows people to pick places and events to add to a visit wish list. The app's meant for visitors, but is also Londoners looking to explore what's going in their home city."

The application is available at the iTunes store now, along with the Virgin Atlantic app and the Virgin Atlantic Trip Journal app.
