snowcarbon.co.uk, a website promoting train travel to Europe for skiers and snowboarders, has launched a pre-payable taxi transfer service between the train stations of Paris. Rather than lugging heavy ski equipment on the Metro, up the street or along the long line at the taxi rank, snow sports enthusiasts heading onwards from the French capital by train can be met at Gare du Nord by an English-speaking driver who will help them with their gear and deliver them quickly and safely at their desired station, even helping them to the correct platform.
Daniel Elkan, one of snowcarbon.co.uk's founders commented: "These specific station-to-station advance-booked taxi services make rail journeys into Europe even easier and more relaxing, to the benefit of travellers and the environment. We have had already had constructive feedback on the need for such a service, so we are confident it will be a hit."
Journeys cost from 20? for a single passenger, 50? for four people and 89? for a group of eight. More information on the service is available on the Snowcarbon website.
