According to the BBC, the Titanic Signature Building, which could cost £90m, is the most expensive tourism project ever built in Northern Ireland.
Located in the same east Belfast shipyard in which the Titanic was built, it is set to open in time for the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic in April 2012.
The BBC said candidates for the vacancies will have to audition in person to 'demonstrate who has the passion and communication skills to become a guide in the new centre'.
News of the recruitment drive comes after the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency revealed a rise in the number of tourists to the destination.
Tourism Minister Arlene Foster told the BBC: 'This promising performance is very timely given the recent launch of the Northern Ireland Tourist Board's NI 2012 campaign, 'Your Time, Our Place', and momentum will increase as we move further into 2012.
'Tourism Ireland will also be rolling out a busy programme of promotional activity to target a range of potential visitors around the world in the run-up to the London 2012 Olympic Games and will be liaising ahead of the games with VisitLondon and VisitBritain.'
