You need to have an experienced eye to observe the animals of desert spaces. Some species however managed to adapt to this climate, hostile to all life form. You will see gazelles, fennecs, jackals, and in the Ténéré, warthogs and antelopes. Among the various scorpions and reptile species, you may also notice the presence of the spitting snake which spits venom before attacking its prey.
