In the south of the country, the W National Park gathers all Africa's savannah species: elephants, antelopes, wart hogs, monkeys, lions and panthers among others. Located on both sides of the border between Benin and Burkina Faso, this park covers 741,000 acres of the Nigerien territory. Therefore, you will absolutely need a car and a guide. Note that the park is closed during the rainy season, from 1st July to 1st October.
