Gashaka Gumpti National Park is the largest Nigerian national park. Located 125 miles south west of the town of Yola, it includes Mount Chappal Wadi, the country's highest peak towering at an altitude of 7932 ft. You can observe elephants, hippopotamuses, buffalos and monkeys here. It is also reputed for its excellent bird watching and boasts over six hundred species.
