The port of Haidjou is 87 miles to the south-east of Pyongyang. Its main tourist attractions are the Souyangsan waterfall, 420 feet high, and the twin islands where you can swim in the lakes, which were formed by high tides. Nampo, 31 miles from the capital, is at the mouth of the Daidong river. Waou Island has gardens, rest homes and a boating lake.
