Machu Picchu is one of the symbols of Peru. Its exact role within the Inca civilization remains unknown. The remains, reached after several days of walking or by train, are one of Latin America's most beautiful sights. The whole sacred valley of Cusco gathers numerous sites of remains of the by-gone empire.
