  • The Paracas Peninsula, Peru

It is the habitat of sedentary and migrating water birds, such as the sand woodcock, curlew, flamingo, piquero (a web-footed bird on the Peruvian coast), cormoran, pelican, seagull, teal, potoyunco (or diving-petrel) and Humboldt penguin. There are also sea mammals (sea bass, sea lions, dolphins), condors, foxes, sea turtles. The splendid natural decors of The Cathedral and the Ballestas islands are the habitat of sea bass and birds.
