In the region of Arequipa, the river Colca is renowned for its 300 rapids and its course which runs through the heart of the world's second deepest canyon. The world-wide famous route leaves from the town of Chivay and enters the zone of Cabanaconde and Tapay, a distance of 25 miles... Reserved to specialists and experts, the rapids on the route are class II to IV. Allow two days for the crossing.
