January 1st: New Year's day.
January 6th: Twelfth Night. Children receive their Christmas presents.
End of January: Period of religious festivals. Some of the most famous celebrations are the Ati-Atihan in Kalibo, on the island of Panay and the Sinulog in Cebu City, both held on the 3rd weekend in January.
February 25th:Revolution of the EDSA people.
April:Holy Week processions. The Moriones Festival in Marinduque is one of the many celebrations that takes place.
April 9th: Bataan and Corregidor Heroes Day.
May:The Flores de Mayo festival is held in honour of the Virgin Mary and the Santa Cruzan parade on the festival's last day in honour of Reyna Elena.
May 1st: Labour Day.
June 12th: Independence Day.
August 19th: Quezon City Festival.
August 21st: Ninoy Aquino commemorations.
August 28th: National Heroes Day.
November 1st: All Saint's Day.
October 21st-22nd: Masskara Festival in Bacolod, Negros.
December 23rd-24th:Giant Lantern Festival in San Fernando, Luzon.
December 25th: Christmas Day.
