To the west of the Pico Ruivo lies the Paul da Serra plateau, a vast plain in a beautiful rustic setting, with grazing land for sheep and cattle. It makes for an amazing excursion thanks to the frequent fog and mist that gives the area a supernatural atmosphere. It's almost as if you were lost in the moors, but without the coldness and the drizzle!
