With Vilnius being joint European Capital of Culture (along with Linz) this year, there has never been a better time to visit the Lithuanian capital. Well, that is until now. The Lithuanian National Tourist Office has just launched a new card for tourists offering free transport and free museum entry throughout the city. Visitors will also benefit from discounts on park entries, city tours, accommodation and eating out.
There are two types of card available: the 24-hour version, which is priced at 52LTL (£13) or the 72-hour card costing 86LTL. The City Card can be purchased either on-line or at tourist offices on site. For more information on both the card and Lithuania, click here to go to their official tourism website.
