Although the Centre-South is more attractive for its scenery rather than its beaches, the South-West, however, is a "must" for those who love fine sand and turquoise water and for scuba-diving fanatics. Among the island's little heavenly spots, let us mention Playa Tamarindo, Playa Ballena (Guanica), Bahia Fosforescente (Lajas), Mona island (in the area of Cabo Rojo) and the coral sites off Parguera.
