Al Zubarah, located 65 miles north of Doha, is a historic town that is famous for its castle built by a local craftsman under the reign of Sheikh Abdullah bin Qassim al-Thani (1913-1949). The castle is square in shape and has three round towers, which helps in distinguishing it from other buidings of a similar style.
